8 Things You Should Know About Car Shipping

Best paid loads, are taken first by the truck-drivers or dispatchers. That's a fact. As you may have figured out already the average costs

1. After receiving quotes, decide the price. The Free Services.

Best paid loads, are taken first by the truck-drivers or dispatchers. That's a fact. As you may have figured out already the average costs, you have to take a quick decision about moving your vehicle ASAP (as-soon-as-possible). It's not a matter of low price here. But a matter of "Higher Offer Will Go" . If you want to manage yourself the transport, there are 2 costs involved.

a) The cost of transportation paid cash to driver in hand, at the delivery time (COD). This payment is the last.

b) A non-refundable Deposit Fee to secure your order, as the driver may even change the route to? (cred ca e of) your pick up location to load the vehicle.

Transportation cost usually include: fuel, driver salary, dispatch-planning work, expenses for insurance & permits, temporary storage, safety and security, advertising, etc.

So, what's FREE?

We are glad you asked. The all dispatch process done for you is FREE, in case you want to cancel because you find a better deal or ... whatever. Even if you book and order to reserve a truck & driver, and they already changed the route to your location -because of ASAP/ Last Minute booking- you pay nothing if you cancel. Once you accepted the driver and his schedule, pay a Deposit Fee, even if you change your mind, for... whatever reason. There was done a lot of work for free, but at the point you paid this non-refundable fee, is kind of "No Turning Back". You do an ASAP move, and it's no time for shopping around, and delay your moving.

2. Booking Reservation for 1st Driver Available.

The beauty of this system, is that you still pay nothing, until a driver wants your load, and you accept his schedule for pick up and delivery. Remember! He has to load another 9 cars. Don't think he transports only your car for a few hundreds bucks. Learn "how the things works" in this industry. There is no deposit required to make a reservation for 1st driver available.

At this point the dispatch operator, start to process your booking reservation. That's a matching process, to assign a carrier to your vehicle type and time frame. There might not be a truck leaving your area every day. Expect 1-3 days for a pick-up date. Depending on available drivers, dispatcher calls you to give you the expected information.

3. Booking Confirmation

After receiving the booking order, when a carrier matching the requests, dispatcher calls or e-mails you, carrier's contact info and his schedule. At this point the ball is on your side. If you agree with the time frame and price, just go online and pay the deposit fee.

If you forgot to pay the deposit immediately after the booking confirmation, the assigned driver may be lost and you have to wait undefined time for another one. The consequences of missing that opportunity and delays inconveniences are yours... Just because you delay the moving process for a few bucks. Be sure you answer when dispatcher calls you, and be ready to take action.

4. Payments (deposit + balance)

a) Pay deposit fee by credit/debit card online, and pay cash the balance to the driver at delivery time.

Pay the non-refundable deposit fee only after your Booking Confirmation, as a carrier has been assigned to load your vehicle. At this point you have to secure your order, by paying a deposit fee to enable the start of vehicle moving process. This fee covers working expenses after a carrier has been assigned to load your vehicle, including changing the route to your pick-up location to pick-up in time your vehicle.

b) Pay balance by credit or debit card, (after you pay the deposit fee first of course).

Drivers do not have a credit card processor with them. And they do not accept personal checks either. They want cash. This is a common practice in the transportation industry. Also you may choose to pay full price online, because contact persons cannot pay cash on delivery (COD) or cash on pick-up (COP). Please notice that, the non-refundable deposit fee is included in the full price, and in case of cancellation, they may refund to you, only the balance left after deducting the non-refundable deposit fee. You cannot play with professional companies. Believe it or not, some people even don't want to pay at the end, for any reason, "good enough" to save them money...

5. Driver Call Pick-up Person

The dispatcher or driver will contact the person at pick-up, one day before, and one more time just before pick-up time. The person releasing the car needs to: a) sign the Bill of Lading/Transport Contract - with inspection report included, b) give the vehicle & keys to the driver. For details on how to prepare your vehicle for shipping read FAQ page.

6. Driver Call Destination Person

The driver will contact the destination contact person one day before, to make arrangement for delivery. Also one more time just before delivery. It is important for you or your designated person, to respond to these calls, to avoid inconveniences & extra charges. The driver may have already scheduled other vehicles to deliver and he has to move on. Remember that you wanted the lowest cost shipping. Also it's better that your address is accurate.

7. Receive Vehicle. Pay Balance

You or your designated representative must be present at delivery location, to:

a) inspect the vehicle,

b) sign Bill of La(n)ding with the inspection report,

c) pay the driver the due balance.

The drivers may only accept:

a) cash,

b) cashiers checks on their carrier name,

c) money order.

No driver will accept credit card or personal check, for sure.

8. Complaints at delivery time

In the unlikely event that there is any damage before delivery, you or your designated representative must note it, on the Bill of Lading/Transport Contract - containing delivery inspection report. This complaint must be done before the driver leaves the destination, as the complaint must be recorded on driver papers. The Bill of Landing paper, it is also your receipt, showing your vehicle conditions at origin and destination. You address your transportation complaints directly to the transport carrier at their address from the Bill of Lading. You cannot complain for scratches, dents, damages, etc. discovered after the driver left your premises.

All this steps, make sense to you?
